The nurse manager of the crisis unit just coughed at me.
There are Wet Floor signs all over the dry floor of the lobby and in front of the bathrooms upstairs.
Why do other people not seem to think of moving those signs? There are regulations for how Wet Floor and other Caution signs are supposed to be placed; people who misuse those signs are breaking the law.
If you put Wet Floor signs and other Caution signs where there is no wet floor or other hazardous situation, people will always ignore those signs and then, when there is a hazard, people will get hurt.
Talk about "crying wolf."
