Are all of the movies that are nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture historically accurate? I doubt it.
It seems to me that there's a lot of pressure on the Academy to choose Selma for Best Picture, because the Academy showed its racism and sexism with the overall nominations.
Once the decisions for the nominations are made, then the decisions about the awards should be based on the nominees, not on a regrettably past opportunity, not taken, to make the process of selecting the nominees fair.
I don't know which movie is the best one. I haven't seen any of the movies that are nominated for Best Picture; I can't afford movies most of the time. I do know a smear campaign when I see one, though, and that's what's happening to American Sniper.
