South Shore Mental Health

November 7, 2014

Two days in a row, the janitor has left a Wet Floor sign in front of the fire extinguisher next to the restrooms.

I just got to the crisis stabilization unit.  One of the other female clients said "Hello" to me and conspicuously rubbed her nose.

I don't have a room at the unit;  I have what's called the "swing" bed, which is a couch/bed in the walk-through area between the two hallways of the unit.  There is nowhere for me to be except outside if clients or staff decide to harass me, nor is there anywhere for me to change my clothes except the bathroom, with the light off.

Even so, it's better than the shelter.
