They have seen my futile efforts to get staff to stop them. They have seen me similarly abused by staff. They have seen me spoken sharply to by staff when I ask for help to stop the harassment. They have seen me treated by staff like I'm crazy and overreacting. They know that the only person who will be punished for their abuse of me is me.
There is nobody in this entire building whom I can talk to about the male patients who are getting more aggressive toward me every day.
The door to my room does not have a lock. Actually, it has a window in it, so that staff can check on me without opening the door.
I bet that if I get assaulted, they'll blame that on me, too.
