I access the services of shelters because I am homeless and need those services, not because I condone their past and present abuses of and negligence toward me and other homeless people.

There is a notice on the refrigerator door at On The Rise that says:
"Go to the MOVIES!
On Wednesday, July 30th, On The Rise will take 8 Safe Haven women to the movies!"
